CASE 1 - AMANDA AND 80's SEX SYMBOL JOHN TAYLOR
Cuando apenas tenía 17 años, la entonces popular it girl londinense conoció a John Taylor, bajista de Duran Duran de 32 años, en una fiesta como muchas. Y como muchos otros también, se casaron cuando Amanda tenía 5 meses de embarazo de su hija Atlanta, en 1991. La historia pintaba para feliz mientras ella ayudaba a su marido a alejarse de las drogras, hasta que en 1995 comenzaron los problemas; muchos los atribuyen a estilos de vida diferentes -la edad, quizás influenció esto-, aunque las amistades peligrosas como Courtney Love también estaban en el tapete. Finalmente se divorciaron en 1997, con amargas batallas y testimonios de parte de ambos.
CASE 2 - AMANDA AND 90'S HOT GUY KEANU REEVES
Mientras se separaba de Taylor, la chica conoció al popular actor Keanu Reeves. Con él estuvo desde 1996 hasta 1997, e incluso se comprometieron, sin éxito alguno. Hasta el día de hoy, ambos permanecen como buenos amigos, y Reeves siempre se deja ver en compañía de Atlanta, convirtiéndose en una especie de padrastro vitalicio. Aunque van y vuelven , la última relación sentimental entre ambos se dio entre el 2001 y 2002, fecha en que ella conoció a Nick Valensi.
CASE 3 - AMANDA AND INDIE GOLDEN BOY NICK VALENSI
Cuando nadie lo esperaba, Amanda se emparejó con uno de los más populares y talentosos músicos de la nueva generación, el guitarrista de The Strokes Nick Valensi. Mientras en su relación con John Taylor ella era la menor, los papeles ahora se invirtieron; Valensi tiene nueve años menos que De Cadenet. Sin ser la edad muy importante, comenzaron a ser fotografiados juntos en el 2002, y la rubia pronto convirtió al músico en su "musa", casi el centro de su libro Rare Birds de 2005. Pasaron los años, el odio entre las fanáticas y admiradoras del grupo y Valensi crecía, sobre todo en foros de internet, lo que explotó aun más cuando el 2006 Amanda quedó embarazada de su pareja y se casó con el guitarrista. Ese mismo año dio a luz a gemelos, y mantiene una excelente relación matrimonial (como para acrecentar la envidia)...
